Lizzie - The Musical

Lizzie – The Musical är en explosiv rockmusikal baserad på det verkliga och omtalade fallet om Lizzie Borden, som i slutet av 1800-talet stod åtalad för att ha yx-mördat sin far och styvmor – ett brott hon frikändes från, men som fortsatte att fascinera och splittra opinionen.
 
Musikalen berättas genom fyra kvinnliga karaktärer och ger röst åt frustration, längtan efter frihet och rätten till sin egen berättelse. Genom ett rått och kraftfullt rock-sound skildrar föreställningen teman som skuld, förtryck, systerskap och samhällets krav på hur en kvinna bör vara.
 
Föreställningen är mörk, energisk och känslomässigt intensiv – men också befriande och livsbejakande. Med sin genreöverskridande stil och anarkistiska grundton erbjuder Lizzie en stark konstnärlig upplevelse som både underhåller och utmanar.
