Sekakuoro Sirpaleet is the oldest choir in Vaasa, which turned 105 in 2021. The choir currently includes 25 female and male singers. The choir's artistic director Anne Tienhaara has conjured up another challenging program to celebrate spring as nature flourishes again. The concert program consists of folk songs from different cultures and in different languages.
Come and listen to a touch of Carl Michael Bellman's compositions and folk song arrangements, by composers including Toivo Kuula, Tapani Lämsä, Pekka Kostiainen, Hugo Alfven and Anders Nyberg.

The choir’s rehearsals compose one of the courses of the adult institute Alma. During the autumn and spring semesters, the choir rehearses every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The choir regularly organizes Christmas and spring concerts and performs on various occasions. Sekakuoro Sirpaleet ry is a registered association belonging to SULASOL (Sulasol ry, the Association of Finnish Singers and Musicians) and the choir singers are personally members of the above-mentioned association.
