The show tells funny, peculiar and interesting true stories about the life of the Sun King Louis XIV, who ruled France in the 17th century, to the accompaniment of Baroque music composed for the court of Versailles.
 
During the performance, the audience is introduced to the era of the Baroque and the music played at the court of Versailles.
 
Recommended age is from 5yrs upwards. The concert is acoustic. 
The performance is in Finnish.

Petra Polácková - Fantasies and Songs

Petra Polácková is an internationally recognized Czech guitarist who is known for her unique interpretation and extraordinary musicianship. She started playing guitar at a young age and has developed over the years into a master musician with degrees from several prestigious music academies. 
Polácková has won many international competitions and is experienced both as a solo artist and chamber musician. She is also a dedicated teacher and festival organizer.

Ukulele workshop

The course is intended for beginners of all ages and those, who are already a little familiar with the ukulele. During the course you will learn to accompany with chords and use fun accompaniments. In addition, you will practice playing easy melodies. Bring your own ukulele, extra ukuleles are also available on site.

Katajala & Kumela – Winterreise

The Sound of Sipoo presents Franz Schubert's classic masterpiece Winterreise in an exceptional way, as it is performed for with a newly written guitar arrangement. The internationally recognized tenor Tuomas Katajala and guitar virtuoso Petri Kumela interpret the famous lied in a unique closing concert at Söderkulla church.
 
The concert presents this iconic composition in a way that allows the listener to experience the work and its story more intimately and emotionally than before. It is extremely rare to hear Winterreise accompanied by guitar, which highlights the delicate beauty and deeply meditative feeling of Schubert's work in an extraordinary way.
