Steve'n'Seagulls returns to Ritz and plays the only gig in the Vaasa region during the Autumn on Saturday 11.11! The evening will be opened by the local band The Punk Folk Band.
Steve'n'Seagulls is a Finnish band founded in 2010. The band's music has been described and tried to be categorized in many ways, but the closest would be newgrass, country, rock, and at least in terms of playing, also bluegrass. The arsenal of instruments seen at gigs has been very wide since the beginning; banjo, mandolin, drums, double bass, accordion, guitar, flute and other instruments change in the hands of the band members sometimes even on the fly. Over time, the band has been honed into a diamond-hard and mood-raising entity that travels around the globe, conveying to the public the good news of music straight from the cold north. If the band was initially known for rearranging rock and metal classics, on its last three albums the band has also presented its own production to its international audience.
In total, the band's music videos have been viewed more than 270 million times on YouTube alone, and the videos also started making their way to international music publications, such as Guitar World, Revolver, Loudwire, Blabbermouth, Metal injection and Metal Sucks. Soon millions of people wanted to know what this band really was. From here, the road has taken the band to perform in more than 30 countries, on four continents and on long international tours.
The band's energetic and skillful live music has become familiar in the domestic scene, festivals and clubs around Europe, on North American tours, in Australia and in the warmth of South America. The same feeling seems to be emanating from the audience in every corner; at the band's concerts, we entertain, have fun and enjoy a unique musical concoction!
