Arppa has gathered a bunch of fantastic musicians, who together built up a beautiful and intact world of sound around his atmospheric lyrics, as well as an energetic and improvised live experience without comparison. The band includes musicians Ville-Veikko Airaniemi, Antti Ahoniemi and Okko Saastamoinen. Väinö Karjalainen is the band's producer on recordings.
Arppa released their debut album in August 2020 and has since emerged as one of the biggest new bands in Finland. The second album "Kinovalon alla" was released on September 24, 2021, and its vinyls sold out in three weeks. The album appealed to both audiences and critics and the songs Laila, Väistä, Hauki and Oulu (theme) were all played on radio. Arppa has also made itself known as a fantastic live band during their record release tour in the autumn of 2021, which was sold out in several places.
The year 2021 was a success for the growing artist, who took home four nominations at the Emma Gala (Newcomer of the Year, Rock Band of the Year, Critics' Choice and Artist of the Year by audience vote) and a third place in Soundi's audience vote for the best from 2021.
